Adventure Landing: 30 Years of Fun and Community Impact in Jacksonville

Story By: Olivia Batchelor

As spring 2025 approaches, Jacksonville residents are gearing up for a special celebration at the only water park in Duval. This march marks the 30th anniversary of Adventure Landing, a beloved family entertainment center that has become a community staple, bringing three decades of fun, memories, and lasting impact to Jacksonville.

Windy Leaptrott, Adventure Landings General Manager, said “We are planning several special events to celebrate the 30th anniversary. The plans haven’t been fully finalized but residents should expect fun and exciting things, including a ribbon cutting.”

Since opening its doors in 1995, Adventure Landing has welcomed families and friends to enjoy minigolf, go-karting, laser tag, and the water park. The first group Adventure Landing entertained was the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are also celebrating their 30th anniversary. This place holds a lot of special memories for local kids who have become adult residents who grew up coming there for birthday parties and school field trips and now take their kids to enjoy the same activities.

In the last couple of years, there have been many rumors and announcements of Adventure Landing closing its doors permanently, but Leaptrott said, “We are just hoping for more and more extensions from the land owner, while we look for a new plot of land to eventually move the park to”

Despite these challenges, Adventure Landing for the time being remains dedicated to staying open, and staying in the Jacksonville community.
