The Jacksonville Broadcasters Association student club allows students to participate in the activities of the JBA throughout the calendar year. Our student members are welcomed at our quarterly luncheons held at The Mudville Grille (St. Nicholas area).
Members of the student JBA club will become eligible for future scholarships with a paid membership. It’s our intention to spread knowledge and expertise through our activities and allow students to participate in the preservation of historical media related materials. The JBA also has a partnership for a production/multimedia journalism internship with UNF. The site supervisor is Professor Ken Thomas.

Who is the JBA?
The Jacksonville Broadcasters Association, Inc. is as much an informal online community as it is a formal organization of past and current broadcasters. Recognizing that those who share the experiences and history of Jacksonville broadcasting are spread across the world we use online contact as well as luncheon meetings to keep our community together and active. JBA incorporated in 2015 as a formal non-profit Florida corporation.
Throughout the year, usually quarterly, luncheon meetings are held at various locations. Current and former broadcasters are invited for a Dutch-treat gathering whether member of not. The meetings also feature panel discussions, presentations and interviews in addition to the socializing that serves as the foundation of the meeting. Meetings are announced on this website as well as through an email notice, newsletter and, of course, our Facebook page.
