Spring 2019 Storytellers


Producer – Kadi Thomas is the 2019 Inside Jacksonville producer. She is a senior Multimedia Journalism student at UNF, with a minor in political science. She’s currently set to graduate in the summer of 2019.  She hopes to use the skills she acquired to begin a career in political journalism and multimedia producing. When she’s not in class or working at her full-time job, she enjoys volunteering, reading and traveling with her family.



Digital Content Producer – Jessica May is from New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She now resides in Jacksonville, Florida where she works as a Digital Content Producer at Action News Jax. She also interns at In The Game as a sideline reporter for high school sports. Jessica is a proud dog-mom and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves sailing, meeting new people and telling people’s stories. Post graduation she hopes to continue digital producing while creating small documentaries.


3Carliana Harris was born in Puerto Rico and spent almost all of her life in the small town of Jesup, GA. She now resides in Jacksonville, FL. She is the sideline reporter for the Jaguars Spanish, broadcast reporter for a show called Se Habla Español en Jax and the owner of an online boutique called Azúcar.  Carliana is one of the founders of the Fairy Godmother Project, an initiative to help low-income high school girls obtain a prom dress.  She enjoys quality time with family and friends, do it yourself projects, traveling, drinking wine, eating chocolate and she enjoys listening to the stories, jokes, journeys, adventures, and antics of the people she meets.
unnamedKevin Beaugrand is a journalism and photography student at the University of North Florida. As a musician, artist, and surfer, he is passionate about exploring Jacksonville’s unique culture and environment. He is currently an editorial intern at Void Magazine and his writing and photography have been featured on Spinnaker Media.




Sheifalika Bhatnagar is a senior Multimedia Journalism major. She is passionate about storytelling in all its forms. She has worked for newspapers and magazines in Memphis, TN, where she grew up. She first fell in love with words as a Slam Poet, competing in local and regional slams, which took her all the way to the Nuyorican Poets Café in Manhattan, New York. She has also been mentored by Misfit’s Manifesto author Lydia Yuknavitch and Jazz singer Joyce Cobb. She is truly inspired by women, who break the mold and have a fierce, elegant voice. As an entrepreneur, she uses her skillset as a journalist to pursue a
publishing career as a fiction author and cinematic storyteller. She also enjoys
volunteering with animals and is pursuing her pilot’s license, in her spare time.


John Newsom was born and raised in sunny Jacksonville, Florida. He is a lifestyle and culture-focused journalism student who enjoys blending his passion for art and music with the art of storytelling. John is multi-instrumentalist who writes and records his own music in his downtime. He also has a passion for clean eating and healthy living.




DSC_0461Lauren Willins is a Multimedia Journalism senior at UNF. Lauren enjoys creating stories that touch the audience while simultaneously informing them. Outside the classroom, she enjoys video games playing with her service dog, Blossom. Lauren is planning on getting her degree in Summer 2019. She would like to focus on either entertainment writing or politics.



DSC_0457Jada Soloman was born and raised in Jacksonville, Fla., and she is a senior at the University of North Florida where she works on her bachelor of science degree in communication with a concentration in multimedia journalism. She strives to put her creativity and big personality to work by telling stories in a new, fun and creative way.  She desires to merge her love for talking, gossip and entertainment news by bringing a fresh new and engaging perspective to journalism.


DSC_0454Teeryana Bryant is a student of the University of North Florida and pursing a degree in communication, focusing on multimedia journalism. After graduation, she would like to pursue a career that allows
me to express my creativity in all fields of multimedia journalism.  She also
enjoy filming, editing and directing.




DSC_0453John Biasotti is a journalism student. After graduation, he wants to use my skills as a writer and reporter in new and interesting ways to build strength in my career.






DSC_0450Nathan Dean is from Middleburg, Florida. He is a Multimedia Journalism student with a minor in Sports Management. After college, Nathan hopes to work for a sports television network or a professional sports organization. Nathan currently works for the Jacksonville Jaguars as a Marketing/Promotions Assistant, UNF Spinnaker as the Broadcast News/Radio Reporter and interns with Cox Media Group Jacksonville. Nathan previously interned with the Jacksonville Sharks AFL team and 1010XL/92.5FM Jax Sports Radio.



Piotruś Stanisław was born in Poland, grew up in Chicago and is currently living in St. Augustine, Florida. He is studying journalism at the University of North Florida. His goal after he graduates is to give a voice to people that lack the ability to have one of their own.






Courtney Babcock is a senior studying Multimedia Journalism as well as Graphic Design and Digital Media. Her experience in both of these areas makes her a strong storyteller, both written and visually. After graduation, she would like to combine her knowledge of journalism and design by pursuing a career in the magazine industry.




IMG_0198 Alfred Narin is a communication senior at the University of North Florida. As a sports savant, he enjoys observing all things sports, in his spare time he enjoys reading and networking. He is currently in pursuit of becoming a SportBroadcaster, Sports Writer.
