Ketan “KJ” Narotam is a senior majoring in communication. He currently interns with Jacksonville Broadcasters Association. KJ is passionate about writing, music, and is an avid vinyl collector. He is a huge fan of: music from the Ramones, movies directed by Quentin Tarantino, and books written by Hunter S. Thompson. Hopefully one day KJ will combine his love of writing with his passion for music.

Haneifiah “Hannie” Ahmad

Haneifah “Hannie” Ahmad is a Spring 2021 graduate from UNF. She majored in Communication with a concentration in Multimedia Journalism and Production. She uses her skills as a podcast host and social media intern for Radx Magazine. She enjoys listening to true crime podcasts and taking photos. After graduation she plans to follow her passions and host her own podcast and radio show. 

Caterina Calabretta

Multimedia Journalist

Caterina Calabretta is a political science and journalism student at the University of North Florida. Aside from being a full-time student, she is currently an intern at Jacksonville Magazine where she has been able to tap into her more creative side of writing and storytelling. Leadership is one of her core values, which inspired her to take a position on her sorority’s executive board, where she works tirelessly to improve participation among the Greek community. Her job as an afterschool counselor at the Jewish Community Alliance in Jacksonville has taught her patience, understanding, and the importance of caring for others.  As a student and childcare worker, Caterina has developed a passion for education and community service. She hopes to one day focus her career on her values of philanthropy and work with nonprofit organizations.

Jac Caruso

Jac Caruso is a senior at the University of North Florida earning a degree in psychology and multimedia journalism with a minor in marketing. She currently works as an office assistant and media coordinator for Calidad Hay and Feed. She enjoys reading and homeschooling her two small children. She hopes the skills learned in her majors will assist her in her future career goals as a forensic psychologist. 

Kayla Chouinard

Multimedia Journalist

Kayla Chouinard is a communication major at the University of North Florida with a focus in multimedia journalism. When she is not finding new stories, running a customer service desk, or watering her cacti, she is a full-time thespian performing on stage. Kayla is an anchor and producer for UNF’s Inside Swoop in 90 internship. She has learned the valuable skills of editing green screen, using teleprompter software, utilizing Premiere Pro software and anchoring the news. Once Kayla graduates from UNF, she is seeking a position as a full-time storyteller.

Darby Emery

Multimedia Journalist

Darby Emery is a senior majoring in Multimedia Journalism and minoring in Social Welfare. She holds a leadership position as the Assistant Director of UNF’s free food pantry, Lend-A-Wing, and is a Community Outreach Committee Member for the Honors Student Union. After college, she hopes to land a career that will blend her passions for storytelling and community service. 

Mackenzie Guiry

Mackenzie Guiry is a senior at the University of North Florida. She is majoring Multimedia Journalism. She spent her first two years at Florida Atlantic University, where she wrote for their school paper, The University Press. She is a huge fan of film and pop culture, and hopes to build a career as a culture writer. She is an avid reader, and loves travelling.

Rebecca Hewett

Rebecca Hewett is a senior pursuing a degree in communication with a concentration in multimedia journalism and production.  She plants to intern at Folio Weekly Magazine this summer and host an official Folio podcast series.  She has always had a strong passion for writing and is excited to see where that passion takes her.

Mally Nichols

Mally Nichols is a soon-to-be graduating senior majoring in communication. She currently interns as a news reporter at Spinnaker Media here on campus at UNF. Her passions include writing, photography, and figuring out the mechanics of Disney World rides in her free time. She hopes to one day combine all her passions into her career and maybe even work as a public relations specialist for the Walt Disney Company someday.

Jennifer Ronzon

Jennifer Ronzon is a spring 2021 graduate from UNF. She majored in communications with a focus in multimedia journalism and a minor in marketing. As a Jacksonville native, she has enjoyed sharing her city with viewers through Inside Jacksonville. Jennifer interns with Spinnaker where she has sharpened her writing and editing skills. Following graduation, Jennifer hopes to obtain a graduate degree while working in journalism.

Timothy Tomkunas

Multimedia Journalist

Timothy Tomkunas is a student at the University of North Florida majoring in communication with a focus in multi-media journalism. He has been creating content since his freshman year of high school and has competed in national competitions for broadcast news. He is certified in Adobe Premier and has proficient skills in both written and broadcast journalism. Timothy is a producer and reporter for Inside Jacksonville, and he is one of the shows main anchors. When he is not reporting or behind the anchor desk, you can find him at the beach, streaming on Twitch, or enjoying the outdoors. After graduating, he plans to pursue a graduate degree.
