Mauricia Brown is a senior at the University of North Florida. She is majoring in multimedia journalism and minoring in sport management. Mauricia’s goal is to become a sports broadcaster or work for the Jacksonville Jaguars. She enjoys coaching tennis to the youth of Jacksonville and watching and playing sports. 

Ian Cork is a senior at the University of North Florida, majoring in Multimedia Journalism. Ian is
both interning at 3D Digital and also running his own successful travel agency, Contrast Travel.
With exceptional communication skills and a sincere love for people, Ian is actively shaping a
future in advertising.

Theresa Hardman is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in Multimedia Journalism and minoring in photography. Theresa’s goal is to combine her passion for creative media such as Film, television, and photography into her future career. She is currently interning with UNF Athletics as a photographer and editor. Her dream is to worth within the entertainment or sports media industry.

Catherine Keith is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in multimedia journalism and minoring in digital marketing. Catherine is a member of the Women in Business, and is expected to graduate with her B.S. in the Fall of 2023. She enjoys traveling, journaling, exercising, and meeting new people. Catherine’s dream career is anchoring for a big TV news station.

Carter Mudgett is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in multimedia journalism and minoring in creative writing. He is the editor in chief of Spinnaker Media, the university’s student-run media source, typically covering education, gender, and race news. During his three years at UNF, Carter has placed second for the SPJ’s Sunshine State Awards for “Best Coverage of LGBT Issues” and third for the SPJ’s Green Eyeshade Awards “Best News Reporter in the South,” both in the college category. In his free time, Carter also freelances for the Jacksonville Business Journal and is currently researching institutionalized racial bias in the newsroom. 

Mallory Pace is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in multimedia journalism and double minoring in political science and marketing. She is the former news editor for Spinnaker where she gained valuable experience in investigating and writing news articles. Mallory enjoys writing about both politics and feature stories and hopes to continue exploring the different avenues of multimedia journalism.

Katrino Reyes is a University of North Florida senior majoring in Communications, concentrating in Multimedia Journalism. Katrino is currently a volunteer for UNF’s Inside Swoop in 90 as an anchor. He has also anchored and produced for Inside Swoop’s longer-form news show called Inside Swoop Scoop. Katrino is from the Philippines and has been living in Jacksonville since 2015. 

Kara Scarbrough is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in communication with a minor in leadership. She fell in love with video production in elementary school. She works as the general manager for Spinnaker TV, producing shows for UNF students. Her ideal position would be to work for a news station or production company. After graduation, she plans to further her education in graduate school at UNF. 

Marshall Shive is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in Communications and minoring in Sports Management. Marshall’s passion for sports inspired him to pursue a degree in communications where he hopes to utilize skills, he learned with his degree to become a sports analyst. Marshall has been a member of the Multimedia Club at UNF since his freshman year. 

Alexa Villegas is a senior majoring in Communication with a concentration in multimedia journalism. She will graduate with a minor in Spanish. She is currently working as a legal assistant at a local Law Firm. When she’s not reporting or working you can find her hanging out with friends, and family, and listening to music. After graduation, she hopes to continue furthering her education by attending Law School.
