Sebastian Baez is a senior at the University of North Florida, majoring in multimedia journalism with a minor in political science. Sebastian’s love for writing drove him to become a student, and he hopes to become a reporter and writer for a political or entertainment-based company. He also desires to become an author one day, practicing creative writing and poetry. Sebastian has written for both Project Cold Case and Impulse Gamer. When he’s not studying, he can be found playing video games, hanging out with friends, or listening to music.  

Everney Benjamin is a senior at the University of North Florida. She is majoring in Communication with a focus in Multimedia Journalism as well as minoring in Creative Writing. She is expected to graduate with her B.S. in May of 2026. Everney has always had a passion for writing and began following the journalism path when she was in high school. She plans to pursue a career in news writing after graduation.

Alyssa Bice is a senior at the University of North Florida studying Communication with a focus in Multimedia Journalism and Political Science. Alyssa is a freelance photographer who intends to utilize her business knowledge and writing skills to pursue a career in law. Bice is going to take a gap year to travel and focus on photography, but her time at UNF has shaped her for whatever else lies ahead!

Emily Cannon is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in Communication with a concentration in Multimedia Journalism. She is passionate about storytelling and creating meaningful, engaging content across various digital platforms. Emily has a strong interest in broadcast, social media, and visual journalism, and enjoys exploring how media can inform, connect, and engage audiences. Through her academic work and hands-on experience, she continues to develop her skills in writing, production, and digital storytelling while preparing for a career in the media industry. 

Sasha Koresh is a senior journalism and international relations student at the University of North Florida. Her school work focuses on global politics and media, with particular interest in how communication shapes international understanding. She plans to pursue graduate study related to international law, political economy, or global journalism.

Reece Kovacs is a senior at the University of North Florida, graduating in May 2026 with concurrent degrees in Communications: Multimedia and Broadcast Journalism and English. Following graduation, Reece will be pursuing a Masters in English with UNF and hopefully a PhD in the future. Reece is from Jacksonville and enjoys the life of a Florida girl; her hobbies include surfing, free diving, and spending time with her tuxedo cat. After graduating this spring, Reece hopes to take her passion for Florida wildlife and pursue environmental journalism while continuing her higher education career. She hopes to showcase all the wonders Florida has to offer. 

Tristan Larrabee is a senior at the University of North Florida (UNF), studying communications with a concentration in multimedia journalism and a minor in photography. He is currently an editorial intern at Social Magazines in St. Augustine, writing stories for their monthly magazine. As a photographer Tristan has worked for organizations such as Spinnaker, Leonard’s Studios, and the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.

Isabella Lazo is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in communication with a concentration in multimedia journalism and minoring in leadership and marketing. With a strong passion for storytelling and sports media, she aspires to pursue a career as a sports journalist, with hopes of one day working as a sideline reporter in the NHL. She is currently interning with UNF Athletics, where she writes articles, about players, special events, or overall seasons for the UNF Ospreys website. Through her coursework, Isabella has developed experience in reporting, content creation, and multimedia storytelling. In her free time, she enjoys watching hockey, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Jessica Lee is a senior at the University of North Florida studying communication with a concentration in multimedia journalism and a minor in social media. After graduation, Jessica wants to further her education through graduate school and land a career in sales. In her free time, she loves antique shopping, tanning, and trying new food.

Ryan Luke is a junior at the University of North Florida who is double majoring in Multimedia Journalism and Sports Management, while also pursuing a Leadership minor. Living in 3 different states while growing up, the one constant in his life has always been sports. Currently, he works at Spinnaker Media as a Sports Broadcaster and Sports Content Producer on the radio side, and he also anchors the sports section of Spinnaker TV’s Nest News. He hopes to pursue a career in sports media as a sports talk show/TV host and play-by-play announcer.

Jasen Mata is currently a senior at the University of North Florida, with his field of study being Communications with emphasis on Multimedia Journalism. Jasen recently finished an internship with The Jacksonville Icemen, where he covered multiple home games for the team on their website. Outside of school, Jasen can be found spending time with friends at church or on the pickleball court. He is very passionate about sports and writing and is hoping to find himself in a career where both interests can thrive. 

Lily Mitchell is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in multimedia journalism and minoring in marketing. She is currently an intern at Flamingo Magazine and getting ready to graduate this coming May. After she graduates, she hopes to continue writing, work for a print publication, like a magazine, and travel more. She’s been to several countries and frequently watches other journalists, like Anthony Bourdain, who inspire her to write about local culture, history and stories. 

Emma Pochel is a senior at the University of North Florida studying Multimedia Journalism. She currently interns at the school’s newspaper, Spinnaker, as a sports intern. She has also published work in a partnership with Project Cold Case. While going to school she works full time at the Jacksonville Humane Society while also creating content for her book focused TikTok. 

Lorelys Rea is a senior at the University of North Florida, majoring in Communication with a concentration in Multimedia Journalism and minors in Marketing, Social Media, and Leadership. Originally from Venezuela, she hopes to pursue a career as a Spanish-language anchor and use her platform to represent her culture. In her free time, Lorelys loves to dance, sing, and spend time with family and friends. She believes Journalism is not only about delivering news; it’s about sharing stories that connect and help the community. 

Sanaa’ Towers is a University of North Florida senior studying multimedia journalism. Sanaa’ is a Duval County native that enjoys the Summer, but would much rather it be Fall all year round. She is currently interning at the School of Communication at Inside Swoop in 90, where she serves as one of the main anchors for the daily news show. She hopes to use her storytelling skills she’s acquired over the past four years to share stories with the world & her fellow ospreys. When she isn’t in class or interning, Sanaa’ enjoys hanging out with friends and loved ones, scrolling on TikTok, Pinterest, and watching a good movie. 

Katelynn Wright is a senior at the University of North Florida, majoring in communication with a concentration in multimedia journalism. With a lifelong passion for athletics, she aspires to become a sports multimedia journalist. She is currently interning with the Jacksonville Sharks, where she is gaining hands-on experience in social media and football reporting. In her free time, Katelynn enjoys spending time at the beach and with her friends and family.

Kara Yelman is a junior at the University of North Florida majoring in communication and double minoring in sports management and social media. Kara has always had a passion for sports and after graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in media in the sports industry. Outside of being a student, Kara loves to go to the beach, spend time with friends, and stay active.
