Alex Barnhart is a senior at the University of North Florida studying Communication with a focus in Multimedia Journalism. She is expected to graduate in May 2026 with her B.S. as well as a minor in social media. Outside journalism, Alex believes that there are endless avenues of storytelling and expression–she specifically loves drawing and painting. She currently interns at St. Johns Citizen, exploring and bringing attention to issues that affect the St. John’s community. She hopes to blend her artistic passion, natural curiosity, and love of storytelling in a fulfilling career as an investigative journalist.

Crystal Branch is a senior at the University of North Florida, graduating in Fall 2025 with a degree in Multimedia Journalism and a minor in Marketing. Her career goals are to become an aspiring news anchor and book publisher dedicated to bringing a fresh perspective to journalism—one that emphasizes style, integrity, and diversity while staying rooted in truth. Crystal’s work has been published in The Florida Times-Union, and she currently interns with Inside Swoop as the weather anchor. She enjoys networking, cooking, and using her personal experiences to inspire others. Her ultimate goal is to inform audiences with honesty and to shine a light on stories that are often unheard or overlooked.

Daniel Cimino is a senior journalism major at the University of North Florida. Having grown up both in the United States and overseas in Panama, Daniel grew to appreciate the power that sports have to unite different cultures and peoples. He hopes to one day be able to tell these stories and many more through a career in sports broadcasting.

Madeline Cunningham is a University of North Florida senior studying multimedia journalism and minoring in digital marketing. Born and raised in South Florida, Madeline enjoys the beach and lying out by the pool on a hot day. She is currently interning at the School of Communication at Inside Swoop in 90, where she serves as the main anchor for the news show. She hopes to use the storytelling skills she’s acquired over the past four years to share stories with the world.

Evan Grimm is a senior at the University of North Florida who is working on his major in
communications, with a focus in multimedia journalism. Evan loves reading and searching for new local stories and reporting on the happenings around Jacksonville. He is currently working for ESPN+ productions through UNF Communications internship program. With limited editing and reporting experience, Evan is excited to grow his abilities to further his success in the upcoming job field.

Nik Holston is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in communications and minoring in marketing. Nik’s love for writing and communicating drove him to follow these degree paths. Once graduated, Nik hopes to take a career in sports broadcasting or sales using the skills he has gained from his courses. Outside of being a student, Nik loves to fish, watch sports, and spend time with friends.

Martilda Jeudy is a Senior at the University of North Florida. Her major is in Communication with a concentration in Multimedia Journalism. She hopes to use it to become a Sports Broadcaster. Her favorite sport is football, and she hopes to be a reporter for the NFL one day. Outside of being a student Martilda enjoys virtual styling, she loves fashion and maybe one day she hopes to be on the red-carpet interviewing athletes for an award ceremony. She is currently interning for Inside Swoop in 90 and is the Sports anchor for the show. Sports, Fashion, Martilda believes she can mix these two together.

Hope Johnson is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in multimedia journalism and double minoring in sport management and psychology. She has a big heart for learning about individuals and sharing their moving stories. Hope is currently interning with Beaches Habitat for Humanity where she can build her experience in the communication field. Hope’s dream is to become an attorney to work alongside her church to do pro bono work and offer affordable care. Through her degrees, she hopes to develop strong skills in communication and detailed-oriented to provide hope in the hardest of moments.

Sophia Prudencio is a multimedia journalism student at the University of North Florida, going into her junior year.  Sophia has always had a passion for sports, where she hopes to work as a sports broadcaster/journalist once she graduates. Jasper Rosas is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in Communications with a concentration in multimedia journalism. He is also pursuing a double minor in both marketing and leadership. In his free time, he enjoys creating sports content and developing his graphic design skills. In the future, he hopes to find a career in social media for a growing brand or sports team.

Richard Spearman Jr is a senior at the University of North Florida, majoring in multimedia journalism. Richard’s love for public speaking has led him to his desire to be a News Anchor. Richard also shares a desire to work somewhere in the social media management field. When he is not studying, Richard can be found watching anime or listening to music. Richard has written an article for Project Cold Case and hopes to continue writing, regardless of where his future takes him.

Mia Tomer is a Senior at the University of North Florida (UNF), majoring in communications with a focus in multimedia journalism and minoring in social media. She is a driven and ambitious individual who has a passion for storytelling and creating content. Growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, she attended First Coast High School before earning her Associate of Arts degree from Florida State College in Jacksonville. Mia wishes to have her own platform one day where she can express herself freely and get paid for it. In her free time, Mia is a laid-back individual who enjoys playing The Sims.
