
Malorie Aldrich is a senior at the University of North Florida. She is majoring in Multimedia Journalism and Sport Management. Malorie’s goal is to become a sports broadcaster or work for a sports team. Malorie has worked with ESPN+, the Jacksonville Sharks, Inside Swoop, and the Jacksonville Jaguars in the past to gain experience in sports journalism. She is currently working with Folio Weekly as their sports reporter. When Malorie is not being a journalist she likes to hang out with her friends and play video games.

Isabelina Barrientos
Multimedia Journalist
Isa Barrientos is a student at the University of North Florida majoring in communication with minors in art history and creative writing. Her features cover subjects in the arts, culture, and the environment, and she captures candid and unexpected scenes in her photography. She works at The Talon Review and her work has been published in Folio Magazine. Her B.S. is expected to be completed in the summer of 2024.

Leslie Bowers is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in communications with a concentration in multimedia journalism and a minor in marketing. Leslie has created content and led a team as the social media director for the UNF hockey club since Fall of 2022. She’s fostered her love of writing and photography by publishing her stories on a UNF Substack and entering photography contests. She hopes to either become a journalist, news camera operator or a producer.

Emily Cheyne is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in multimedia journalism and minoring in social media. She has a passion for music and wants to pursue a career in music journalism after college. In her free time you can find Emily going to local shows, thrifting, and listening to music.
David Combs is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in multimedia journalism and minoring in business management. His love for sports has inspired him to pursue a career in sports journalism. He interned at 1010 XL where he was able to sharpen his audio editing and voiceover work. He also has experience using Adobe Premier Pro. He hopes to take his experiences in both school and his internships into a career in sports after graduating in the Spring of 2024.

River Dodd is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in multimedia journalism and minoring in leadership. My love of people and communication has led me to become the marketing and social media coordinator of UNF’s student pantry, Lend-A-Wing. I also lead the multimedia club as it’s current vice president. In my free time you can find me at the beach, on a trail, or downtown finding the best food.

Xavier Ford
Multimedia Journalist
Xavier Ford is a University of North Florida senior majoring in Multimedia Journalism and minoring in Business Management and Leadership. Xavier wants to merge his love for entertainment and lifestyle with his passion for storytelling. He is also drawn to broadcasting and the art of anchoring. Xavier’s ideal position would be anchoring a news show or becoming an entertainment journalist he would just like the opportunity to tell people’s stories that are worth hearing.

Thomas Herrold is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in Multimedia
Journalism. With a passion for all types of journalism ranging from lifestyle and entertainment to
hard-hitting news and investigative pieces, Thomas plans to utilize his journalism education to
launch a career in the ever-changing world of modern media through both traditional broadcasting and online content.

Alekzander Jenkins
Multimedia Journalist
Alekzander Jenkins is a junior at the University of North Florida, majoring in communications with a concentration in multimedia journalism. Alekzander’s goal is to become a news anchor or sports broadcaster. He currently works for UNF Athletics as a public address announcer, and hosts a sports show on WSKR 95.5 FM.

Ethan Leckie is a Senior at the University of North Florida majoring in Multimedia Journalism and minoring in International Studies. He is also the current Opinions Editor for Spinnaker Media. After college, he hopes to work as a columnist or reporter for a newspaper or online news outlet. Outside journalism, Ethan loves watching YouTube, cooking, and exploring Jacksonville’s culinary scene.

Jillian Lombardo is a senior at the university of North Florida majoring in multimedia journalism and minoring in psychology. She hopes her career will lead her to investigative reporting or war correspondence. Jillian’s ambition is to help people lead her to a career she sees as a fourth branch of government. A voice for the people and the inside scoop on current events they have a right to understand.

Darya Mironova
Multimedia Journalist
Daria Mironova is a post-baccalaureate student majoring in Communication. Daria is an international sportscaster, TV/radio host, and reporter with extensive experience traveling to and covering the Olympic and World Championship events. She is the first female hockey play-by-play commentator in Russia. Daria decided to return to school to advance her editing and production skills and keep her mind off global tensions.

Briana Pereira is a senior at the University of North Florida, majoring in communications with a concentration in multimedia journalism and a minor in sport management. Briana is also an intern at Folio Weekly where she writes for their digital and print editions each month. Her goal is to become either a sport journalist or lifestyle writer using the skills she has learned throughout college. In her free time, she enjoys watching sports and exploring the city of Jacksonville.

Emily Regalado is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in Multimedia Journalism with a double minor in Leadership and Political Science. Her career aspiration is to become a lawyer and a published author. As a lawyer, she hopes to advocate for foster youth. Emily is from Miami, Florida and is bilingual. She is now a production intern at the University of North Florida’s Inside Swoop. At the internship, she produces TV shows and anchors for her own Spanish segment while also anchoring the Weather Report.

Angelica Santini Hernandez, a junior at the University of North Florida, is pursuing a major in communications with a concentration in Multimedia Journalism and a minor in Marketing. Her career aspiration is to become a writer or broadcast journalist for a news station, aiming to raise awareness and initiate conversations about current social and political issues. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Angelica has developed an interest in the ongoing social and political issues in her home country. Beyond her academic pursuits, she loves to further expand her knowledge on photography striving to enhance her skills. She is also passionate about understanding how marketing can effectively expand one’s following and reach an audience in a meaningful way.
