The Greenhouse & Bar is a multifunctional space offering an aesthetic environment for any circumstance. The location opened in 2022 after the founders, who had their own bartending business and worked in design, decided they wanted to open a bar.

The business serves as a coffee and low-ABV beverage spot as well as a nursery. They sell many varieties of houseplants, small nick-nacks, and apparel that fits their theme. Because of the dual-purpose space, the location is unique and offers a refreshing and new environment.

The Greenhouse & Bar’s goal is to provide a space that pushes feminine empowerment. Owner and founder, Lauren Henry, described their mission as “women empowerment, showing that women can do just as much as men, if not more than.”

To promote female empowerment, the location holds events throughout the month to encourage networking and provide entertainment to the community. In March, they hosted an all-female latte art competition, allowing women in the community to show off their barista talents. During Women’s History Month, they had a specialty drink that was female-focused and packed unique flavors. 

In addition to female-focused events, the Greenhouse & Bar also hosts events for the whole community to enjoy. One of Lauren’s favorites is their open-mic nights, where members of the community can perform and share their talents.
