At the University of North Florida, students are creating works of art through the ceramics program, which is not an easy craft.
The ceramics community is inspiring. Students spend long nights in the studio together, building not only their skills but also lasting friendships. Hannah Middlebrooks, a fellow student, shares how important this sense of community is.
“There is no hiding in corners. We are all in here together, working side by side,” she said.
The students showcase their work through pottery sales held each semester. These sales give students the chance to offer their creations to the public.
Hannah is also preparing for her senior exhibition, which will be held at Sago Coffee on Jacksonville Beach on April 24th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. It is a great opportunity to see the talent emerging from the UNF ceramics program.
